The AMD Alternative to the RTX 5060 Ti
The Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB is AMD’s RDNA 4 answer in the mid-range — 32 compute units, 16GB of GDDR6, and a 160W board power, aimed squarely at 1080p and 1440p. It trades blows with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB in raster and carries the same 16GB of VRAM, so open-world texture budgets aren’t a problem.
The two real trade-offs against the NVIDIA card are upscaling and ray tracing. AMD’s FSR 4 is now a machine-learning upscaler and closes much of the old quality gap, but DLSS still has the wider game support and a slight edge in image stability. Ray-tracing performance is improved on RDNA 4 yet remains a step behind NVIDIA. If you lean on RT-heavy titles or want the broadest upscaler support, the RTX 5060 Ti is the pick; if you want the same VRAM and 1440p raster for a similar or lower price, the RX 9060 XT is the value play.
