The Intel Alternative to the RTX 5060
The Arc B580 is Intel’s second-generation Battlemage part — 20 Xe2 cores on a 192-bit bus with 12GB of GDDR6. Against the RTX 5060 it wins on the specification that ages worst: memory. 12GB versus 8GB is the difference between dropping texture quality in 2026 open-world titles and leaving it alone, and it costs less than the NVIDIA card rather than more.
The trade-off is software. XeSS 2 is a competent machine-learning upscaler and is supported in a growing list of titles, but DLSS is in more games and has the deeper feature set. Intel’s drivers have improved enormously since Alchemist launched, though older DirectX 11 titles can still behave unevenly where NVIDIA’s are simply predictable. Ray tracing works and the hardware is respectable for the class, but the 5060 holds a lead there.
Pick the B580 if you want the VRAM headroom and the lower price and play mostly modern titles. Pick the RTX 5060 if you want the widest upscaler support and the most boring possible driver experience. It appears as the Intel alternative in our Budget build.
