- Storage (minimum and recommended): 8 GB → 10 GB — Konami raised the install size on the Steam store page with no announcement. Not build-affecting — the smallest drive in any tier on this page swallows either figure.
Recommended Builds
The Recession tier already clears the recommended bar. The Arc A580 sits around the recommended RTX 3060 — well past the GTX 1650 minimum — and the 16 GB RAM matches both the minimum and recommended spec exactly. The 10 GB install is one the 256 GB drive swallows without a second thought. For a game this light, the cheapest build on the page is the right build.

| Storage | Patriot P300 256GB NVMe SSD | $53 | $53 at Amazon |
The RTX 5060 is roughly double the recommended RTX 3060, so 1080p Ultra runs with frames to spare — DLSS 4 is headroom you will not need. 16 GB RAM matches the recommended spec, and the tiny 10 GB footprint leaves the 1 TB drive almost entirely free.

The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB carries 1440p Ultra at high refresh without strain — the recommended RTX 3060 targets 1080p, and this tier is two GPU generations past it. 32 GB RAM is double what the game asks for.

The RTX 5070 and 9800X3D run native 4K Ultra far beyond anything Belmont's Curse requires. The recommended spec stops at an RTX 3060; this tier is built for the heaviest games on the site and treats this one as a warm-up.

The RTX 5090 is comical overkill for a game whose recommended GPU is an RTX 3060 — native 4K Ultra at whatever refresh your monitor allows. The point of this tier is that nothing makes it work, and this game least of all.

What to Upgrade First
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is the lightest game on this site, and it is not close. Konami and Evil Empire — the studio behind Dead Cells — built it around an RTX 3060 recommended GPU, a 16 GB RAM spec that holds steady from minimum to recommended, and a 10 GB install. That last number is the tell: this is a focused action game, not a 150 GB open world, and its hardware demands match.
The honest upgrade advice is that you almost certainly do not need one. Every tier on this page clears the recommended spec, starting with the Recession build. The Arc A580 lands around the recommended RTX 3060 while the minimum only asks for a GTX 1650, so the cheapest GPU we list already runs the game at 1080p High. The 16 GB RAM that every build ships is exactly what the recommended spec wants — unusual for a 2026 release, where recommended specs routinely reach for 32 GB. For once, the Recession tier’s RAM is not the thing to top up.
From the Budget tier’s RTX 5060 onward, you are buying frames and resolution you will not need for this game alone. The RTX 5060 runs 1080p Ultra at well over 120 FPS; the Mid tier’s RTX 5060 Ti steps to 1440p Ultra; the High and 1% tiers run 4K Ultra with room to spare. The only reason to spend past the Recession tier here is to run the heavier games on this site — Belmont’s Curse itself runs beautifully on the floor. Plan for a 10 GB SSD install, the smallest on the page, and spend your budget on the games that actually demand it.
