Recession Build — June 2026

~$948

1080p / Low / 30-45 FPS — at the minimum floor

The Arc A580 lands right around the RTX 2060 that CI Games sets as the floor, so this tier plays the game rather than comfortably running it — 1080p Low is the honest target. The Ryzen 5 7500F laps the i7-8700 recommended CPU outright, and 16 GB of RAM clears the 12 GB minimum and matches the 16 GB recommendation, so the GPU is the only part holding this tier back.

Budget Build — June 2026

~$1171

1080p / High / 60 FPS (DLSS)

The RTX 5060 sits well clear of the RTX 2060 minimum and, with DLSS 4, holds 1080p High at 60 despite its 8 GB frame buffer. It does not match the recommended RTX 3080 in raw raster, which is why 1440p is the next tier's job — but for a 1080p soulslike this is the tier where the game stops feeling like a compromise.

Mid-Range Build — June 2026

~$1699

1440p / High / 60 FPS (DLSS)

The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB closes most of the gap to the recommended RTX 3080 and brings twice the VRAM, which is what makes 1440p viable here. The 32 GB of RAM doubles the recommended 16 GB, so this tier has headroom on every axis except raw GPU raster.

High-End Build — June 2026

~$2311

1440p Ultra / 4K with DLSS / 60+ FPS

The RTX 5070 clears the recommended RTX 3080 outright — this is the first tier that runs the game above the spec sheet rather than against it. The 9800X3D holds frame pacing steady, which is what a soulslike's parry timing depends on, and 32 GB of RAM is double the recommendation.

The 1% Build — June 2026

~$7851

4K / Ultra / 120+ FPS

The RTX 5090 runs native 4K Ultra far past anything CI Games' recommended tier targets, and DLSS 4 pushes well beyond 120. Overkill for a game whose recommended GPU is a 2020 card — which is the point of this tier.

What to Upgrade First

Lords of the Fallen II is CI Games’ follow-up to the 2023 soulslike, and its published spec sheet is notably gentler than the studio’s last outing suggested it would be. A minimum of RTX 2060 with 12 GB of RAM and a recommended RTX 3080 with 16 GB puts this squarely in reach of hardware that is already several years old — an unusual thing to be able to say about a 2026 dark fantasy release.

The graphics card is still what sets your resolution, and the gap between the two tiers is wide enough to matter. The minimum RTX 2060 (or RX 5700) is roughly where the Recession tier’s Arc A580 lands, so that build clears the floor and no more — 1080p Low is the realistic target there. The Budget tier’s RTX 5060 sits comfortably between the two lines and uses DLSS to reach 1080p High at 60. The Mid tier’s RTX 5060 Ti 16GB brings the VRAM that makes 1440p sensible, and from the High tier’s RTX 5070 up the GPU stops being the limiter entirely.

Memory is the one place this game is easier than most of its 2026 peers: 16 GB satisfies the recommended spec, which every build on this page already ships. That is a genuine departure from the 32 GB recommendations creeping into other releases this year, and it means the Recession and Budget tiers do not carry the usual RAM asterisk. The CPU is a non-issue as well — an i5-8400 minimum and i7-8700 recommended are both cleared by every processor here, so if you are upgrading an existing PC, put the money in the graphics card and stop.

Two caveats worth knowing before you buy for this game specifically. CI Games has published no storage figure and no DirectX version yet, so plan for a modern soulslike’s footprint and expect the spec sheet to grow rows before launch. And the release date remains a 2026 window with no firm day attached — the requirements above are official, but everything around them is still moving.
