Recommended Builds
The Arc A580 comfortably exceeds the GTX 1660 minimum and roughly matches the RTX 2060 Super recommended tier. Capcom's RE Engine is efficient on mid-range hardware, and 50 GB fits easily on the 256 GB drive. The Recession build runs this one at a higher preset than the official minimum targets.

Budget Build — June 2026
~$11891080p / Ultra / 60+ FPS — significantly exceeds the recommended RTX 2060 Super
The RTX 5060 is roughly twice the GPU the recommended spec asks for. 1080p Ultra at a locked 60 with DLSS headroom to spare. This game is not the Budget tier's challenge.

The RTX 5090 runs native 4K Ultra at triple-digit frames. Overkill for an RE Engine title at these specs, but the headroom means zero drops during particle-heavy combat.

What to Upgrade First
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is built on Capcom’s RE Engine — the same tech behind the Resident Evil remakes, Devil May Cry 5, and Monster Hunter Wilds — and it shows in the modest spec sheet. A GTX 1660 clears the minimum at 1080p/30fps with upscaling, and an RTX 2060 Super handles the recommended preset at 1080p/60fps. By 2026 hardware standards, this is a lightweight title.
Every build on this page exceeds the recommended spec. The Recession tier’s Arc A580 already matches the RTX 2060 Super recommended floor, meaning even the cheapest rig here runs above the preset Capcom tuned for. The Budget RTX 5060 has roughly double the GPU headroom the recommended line asks for. The decision here is resolution, not survival — the question is whether you want 1080p Ultra, 1440p Ultra, or 4K, not whether the game will run.
The CPU is a non-factor. Capcom asks for an i5-8400 minimum and i5-10400 recommended, both several generations behind every chip on this page. Storage is a comfortable 50 GB with an SSD required at both tiers. DLSS 4.5 and FSR 3.1 are both confirmed, so AMD and NVIDIA upscaling are first-class. The game ships with Denuvo, which historically adds a small CPU overhead on RE Engine titles but nothing that changes the hardware recommendation. A PC demo is already live on Steam for anyone who wants to benchmark before buying.
