Resident Evil Veronica
PC hardware build guide for Resident Evil Veronica — recession, budget, mid-range, and high-end rigs for Capcom's RE Engine remake of Code: Veronica, due 2027. Specs estimated; official requirements pending.
Predicted System Requirements Predicted
Estimate as of June 2026 — official requirements not yet published.
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 (64-bit) | Windows 11 (64-bit) |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 5 5600 |
| GPU | NVIDIA RTX 2060 (6 GB) / AMD RX 6600 (8 GB) | NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti / AMD RX 6700 XT |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | ~50 GB SSD (SSD required) | ~50 GB SSD (SSD required) |
Why these numbers
Scaled from Resident Evil Requiem’s official requirements — same studio (Capcom), same RE Engine, the most recent series entry on this site. A 2027 RE Engine remake should track Requiem closely. Confidence: moderate — strong engine/studio anchor, though specs and release (2027) are still distant.
Recommended Builds
Low-confidence estimate — no official figures are published yet. The Arc A580 should clear an RE Engine survival-horror floor at 1080p with XeSS, the way it sits on Resident Evil Requiem's official minimum line. Revisit when Capcom publishes real specs.

What to Upgrade First
Resident Evil Veronica is Capcom’s RE Engine remake of 2000’s Code: Veronica, and the most important hardware fact about it right now is the one that’s missing: there are no official PC requirements. The Steam page is live — PC is confirmed day-one alongside PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 — but the spec blocks read “TBD” straight down, no CPU, no GPU, no RAM, no storage. The release is a 2027 window, not a firm date, so everything below the OS line on this page is an estimate, and they will be replaced the moment Capcom publishes a real sheet.
The estimates are better grounded than most, because the closest comparable is already on this site. Resident Evil Requiem shipped in early 2026 on the same RE Engine, from the same studio, and its official minimum was only a GTX 1660 with a low CPU floor — the engine scales down gracefully. A 2027 entry will lift that floor a step, but RE Engine survival horror has never been the hardware hog that an open-world or path-traced-by-default release is. The likely shape is a minimum around an RTX 2060 and a recommended tier near an RTX 3060 Ti, with the 16 GB RAM floor and mandatory SSD that every recent RE game has carried.
Against those placeholders, every tier here has margin. RE games are GPU-bound — the CPU floor stays low, so the build choice comes down to your target resolution and whether you want the marquee lighting. The Recession Arc A580 should land on the estimated 1080p floor with XeSS; the Budget RTX 5060 opens up a real 1080p 60 and would be the entry point for any Nvidia-only path-tracing mode, the same split Requiem drew; the mid tier reaches 1440p, and the upper tiers run native 4K. Treat all of it as provisional until the official sheet replaces it — when Capcom posts specs, the weekly spec monitoring sweep will catch it and this page goes live.
